It was brown, diesel, and had a 5 speed dog-leg transmission. Some of you already know what it was, but for the others, guess away :) Will say how it went once someone guess's correctly, or if someone who knows just asks, lol :P Here's a 300 hp MK2 Escort (Edit, the MK2 is now further below) for reading and possibly guessing. I'd imagine this won't take long to be guessed.

B. Body Burnout guessed it with the first commenton this post-

Kinja'd!!!

It was actually easier then I thought, was a empty truck though (drive was just a ride along to make sure I can in fact operate it and drive stick). Transmission was hard to get too, the grab point for the clutch was...well, had to let the clutch almost all the way out before it would start to grab, so that was a pain in the arse. Handles ok, super short gears (I know most drivers start in 2nd and avoid the dog leg first all together, but for ride alongs you have to use first). Size was pretty easy to get used to. You'd think that it wouldn't stop all that well, but it's brakes were actually very strong, and touchy. I'd say it could out stop my 65' Beetle, though this was a empty truck. Next week I go to driver school, then hopefully go full time driver :)

That's so cool! I've always secretly wanted to drive one. Was the door open? That seems like the best part (in the summer, at least)

They are usually said to be pretty awful trucks, but it wasn't all that bad to drive, and I know this one in particular was one of the worst in the building (usually the ride along truck is, because all the other trucks were out on route). And yes, both doors were open, as it was warm out and I had my hoody on, lol.

Let us know when you can get the truck rolling before the starter is even done turning.... I swear our UPS guy is a pro at it.

Now to study, and look up where restaurants are around my hotel (we get 30 dollars allowance a day for food!!! :D as long as we don't go over, and keep receipts the company will pay for it all :D )

That's awesome! Free food! I wish my job did that :P

That's a good allowance, how many meals a day does it cover?

For some reason, I always see Ups and Fedex trucks with those Big Gulp things in them.

Yus!! and..I'd imagine however many I eat as long as I don't exceed 30 dollars, lol. I was thinking I'd go to Buffalo Wild Wings one night, eat left overs for lunch the next day (assuming hotel will have breakfast) and hten spend 30 dollars all on a nice dinner that day, haha :D my friend taking class with me was wondering how much mcdonalds 30 dollars could buy..orr, if you went grocery shopping for 30 dollars everyday, how much could you bring home. Ill probaly just stick to eating out, lol, and probably just to stay hydrated while on the job.

Yeah, Do that!

Usually most hotels have some sort of breakfast, continental or hot. Water is important though, need lots of that. Do those trucks have Ac?

UPS van, of course, but what's really driving me nuts is where in Toronto the picture was taken, looks very familiar, like I've been by it a million times.

Just got the directions for my hotel, and looked it up, they do offer hot breakfast :) Quality inn, and..not sure, but their doors slide open all the way, lol. They have a heater, I know that

Err...it could be useful on someday's, it is possible, rare, but possible to hit triple digits here on the hotter days of the year..then of course, it can hit negative 40 sometimes in the winter -.-

Btw, the hardest part of this driving test was driving my Beetle after, confused the fuck out of me going to a tiny little Beetle..also, let the clutch out wayy to quick in the Beetle, b/c I was juusstt starting to get used to the crazy high grab point on the UPS trucks clutch -.-

Indeed, and the Beetle's heater is worthless if it's under positive 30 outside..so I had a fun winter last winter. Colorado winters are pretty odd too, towards the end, like..nowish. For all I know, it could snow on Sunday, even though its warm today. Just how winters are here, lol.

With alot of doing..sometimes, lol. Takes fooreeverr to warm up in the cold, usually have to sit in it a while and hold the gas pedal down, till its warm enough to stay on for 5 seconds for me to run to the back and turn up the choke a bit.

It's an 03 50th Anniversary. It's a good car, I don't get to steal it as much as I'd like though :)

My A4, Well. Was once mistaken for a Corolla.

Wait a second, I've been in a committed relationship for 7 years. UH-OH. Hehe, I mainly used it to impress people.

Haha, That part's the best one!

With my Suzuki 250, it about goes like this:

Girl- "Hey, how fast is your bike"

Me- "Goes about 80"

Girl- "Oh. Uhm, Ok"

Lmao, to be fair, one of the body styles they made of the 250 looks sport bike-y, I want a cafe racer, but I know I'll never get one, because I'd be spending that money on cars instead, lol. My brother is selling his Ducati 848 Evo because he can't afford paying for it and his Mustang GT at the same time.
