There is an app that judges your driving and can give you a "score" based on hard or smooth braking and acceleration and avoiding repeated sharp turns and whatnot. This game me an idea - Step 1) Install
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Step 2) Go to an autocross with some people Step 3) Fire up the app for each run and finish at the end so it stops recording. Step 4) Lowest score wins.
I call it Oppo-golf. You're not really playing each other, you're playing the course :)

I wonder how this thing would like a 25 minute long track session.

I would like to see the stig do 11 laps in a row with this and see if it scores consistently, after that I'll trust the app, but only on the phone type that was used to determine its reliability. :P

Probably not much more than the progressive "snapshot" sensor thing

I forgot about those! I should get one and use it on track then send it back to them and see what they say. "Your average speed during the data acquisition was 90.3mph and your highest recorded speed was 139mph, which you achieved 20 times. You are uninsurable. Have a nice day. PS we called the police."
