I went on autotrader, and I found this old Monte Carlo. Barry Cullen Chevrolet appears to have had this example for a while, and it would make a good NPoCP
This 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS has done only 90,894 kilometers (61,449 miles) since it rolled off of the showroom floor in 'Essence of Mediocrity' grey. This is not an aerocoupe, which means that it has a small block chevy and nothing else very significant. still, I think it is cool.
The dashboard hasn't been blown to shit by the sun, and it has a tachometer roughly the size of a pack of Hubba Bubba Tape. The floor-mount t-handle for the automatic is a nice touch, and the leather-wrapped steering wheel is in decent condition. RED PINSTRIPES.
mmm. t-tops.
It sits on pretty nice American Racing chrome rims with white lettered BFGoodrich tires.
The asking price for this well-preserved slice of american full-sized coupe is $8,000 dollars. In this aspect, it seems a bit crack pipe for me, but it might do the trick for the rest of you.

Window sticker says $8500. Who told you $11,000?

Interesting because I'm sure that's how this thing handles.
The asking price is $11k but the windshield says $8500. Either way I'm $6500 USD max.

I'm on the fence on this one, but it looks to be in really good condition so I'm leaning towards "Not NP, but I'd probably buy it anyway" because I have a ridiculous boner for these cars.

yeah. and since it's 8k in Canada, it's worth precisely $7,286.16 U.S.

minus those wheels and I'd say NP because its getting harder to find clean t top ss montes. At 61xxx miles that harder yet. The 8500 is where I would be. Only thing better is the aero coupe but I had one of those it would painted wrangler blue and yellow with a 3 on the doors

$8,500 is approaching Regal T-Type territory, so crack pipe due to that.
Still a cool car, though.

Does seem a little high for a car that isn't too special. BUT it is very clean.
