After almost a month of thinking about it and test driving cars (including a 2002 Ferrari 360 spyder), I've narrowed the new car choice down to a black 2014 Roush Stage 3 or a black 2014 Shelby. Shelby has leather Recaro, Roush doesn't; Shelby has nav, Roush doesn't. I really don't care about nav although I guess it would help at resale. And since I live in Texas, the cloth seats may actually be better than the leather (although I'm sure leather helps again at resale). There's a $15k price difference, so even though the Shelby will hold its value better than the Roush, I consider that to be a wash. So, to sum up, I have great choice A and great choice B. And I can't decide!

Shelby. Roush looks too much like a GT with some tacked on pieces.

I think the obvious question is why aren't you waiting for a 2015? ;)

Don't like the 2015s, as least based on the pictures I've seen.

I've been doing some shopping and if you ever plan on getting rid of it, the Shelby will hold its value much better.

why not find a 2013 boss?

Tried. None were available around here for a reasonable price or were orange. The spouse vetoed orange. Given that this is my weekend ride, keeping the wife from becoming too unhappy was a significant issue.

As much as I love the Roush, I would go with the Shelby.

Bought the Roush — fantastic car, a blast to drive, and I don't feel bad about actually driving it (which I would if I had bought the Shelby). Can't wait to get it to the track.
