I've been going a bit mod-crazy lately. A couple weekends ago, I finished off installing all of the remaining mods I've purchased by putting in new fuel pump internals and a free flowing turbo inlet hose. Today, I bought some new wheels.

Kinja'd!!!

They'll be going on my '12 Mazdaspeed3. I've done just about all I'm comfortable with doing to it performance wise, so it's time to move on to looks now. Wheels are enkei pf01's. I saw them on a few cars when I was at Barber Motorsports Park a few days back, and couldn't get over how well they looked up close. I'm a huge fan of all the little details you can see up close.

These will probably be the next wheels I'll buy. Just gorgeous. And decently light.

I just picked up a set of o.z. alleggerita's for my 3 last month.

Those allegeritas were actually a pretty close second, great wheels as well. What car do you have them on?

Very nice choice. I just made my first wheels purchase too, for my BRZ, on Tuesday. I decided on OZ Ultraleggeras, but these were in my top 5.

These are a much nicer alternative to Rota Torques.

This makes me even more hasty to get wheels. I will probably be getting them way at the end of summer. First have to get a tune, to make the car run smoother and get a bit of power as well!

Good choice! I have a set of these in 15x8 as track/auto-x wheels for my NB Miata. Fantastic wheels. I couldn't believe how light they were the first time I picked them up (~12 lbs)! Plus, they're easily replaceable if necessary, and look damn good to boot!

I actually read your post and was like AH HELL WHY NOT. The Ultraleggeras were in my top 5 as well

I had to rush home after work and buy them before I talked myself out of it haha. Will you be out at c&c this weekend? Apparently there's some kind of a cruise at 10:45 over to some other place or something.. Either way I should be out there. Turnout's been amazing recently

Yay for Mazdaspeed! I used to own a Speed Protege, and I am in the (very long) process of making my 2 into a sort of Mazdaspeed now (basically street legal b-spec). I'm guessing you've gotten a fair amount of things from Corksport, haha.

That's awesome with the 2, I've always been fascinated with what I could have done with the money saved on a 2 from the speed3 in mods. Any info on it?

And actually, just my catback was corksport. Went Cobb for the intake + turbo inlet hose, sure for the race pipe, JBR for the rear motor, and a few others I'm forgetting currently. I do love corksport's stuff though and the guys there are awesome whenever I call them.

I have had nothing but great experiences with them, and it keeps me coming back.

It only takes $5000 (including cage) to have a competitive car in b spec so like $3000 or so for a street version. I'm only doing a SRI and an axle back as far as "power" mods go. I would rather do a cat back, but it requires cutting which I do not want to do.

If you are putting all the money you put into the speed3 then you can do some cool things. I've seen people do disc brakes in all 4 corners, and I've seen turbo versions with almost 200 whp, that was stock internals though so that obviously didn't end nicely haha.

I guess a paragraph got kinja'd...

I'm mainly focusing on suspension, and for about $1000 from corksport you can get front sway bar, rear torsion bar (this is a must!), strut tower bar, adjustable struts, and stiffer springs. Then add about $500 if you would rather coilovers. It is super cheap to mod, and I've heard stories of guys keeping up with caymans in some bends.
