I ran out of gas in the Walgreens parking lot. Which wouldn't have been too big of a deal if trying to turn the wheel without power steering in my dad's truck wasn't like trying to pull a boulder around. Had to spend 12 dollars on a gas can, and other 5 on the gas itself, then another 40 to put gas in the tank. Note to self: Check the gas level once you're on flat ground and not while the truck is angled on the driveway.

I did that once, and learned my lesson. Don't feel bad I know people that do it frequently and their car warns them for 30+ miles beforehand.

i preempively feel your pain. my gas guage only works through the bottom half, and while i haven't run out of gas yet, my odometer has quit working, so it's only a matter of time.

I'm assuming his gauge is off by a little because the little warning light never went on.

His has to be off because it has a big, bright warning light I would've notice and it never came on. I'll just keep it away from E next time.

I was on the highway once with a tiny bit of gas in the tank. I thought I was going to make it to my destination... took the exit and it died right after I rolled off the ramp haha. There was a gas station 30 walking seconds from where it died, I got lucky. The stupid gas can was like $15 though so that sucked.

I was really pissed off that I had to buy one because right before I left, I took out the can we have for the lawnmower's gas from the bed.

He did own the company that made the truck for a short time...

I saw a guy run out of gas in a Prius once. I laughed
