Ok, so at 140K, the turbo is done. Stick a fork in it. Any advice before I do this? It's a Forester XT. Not upgrading, putting the TD04 back in there.

Reuse the gaskets? New gaskets? Reuse the bolts and hardware? New bolts and hardware? Fill me in wise ones.

What type of gasket? Metal ones you can get away with reusing. It's exhaust so unless the bolts are corrosion free I would just get new ones (they're just bolts how expensive can they be?). Unless something has obvious damage I would just reuse it.

I'd definitely use new gaskets. The bolts and hardware are probably good to reuse unless they look like they need replacement, but I've seen people do both.

Make sure to prime the turbo in after you install it, and keep the boost down for a few hundred miles.

Definitely new gaskets. Hardware. tough call. If the bolts are torque-to-yield, yes, replace. If they are torques to spec, yes, replace. If they are good bolts (grade 8 or higher) and never tightened to specs, use over.
