Foodlopnik: Brisket Burger Edition

They opened a Famous Dave's not far from where I live here in Puerto Rico and naturally, my hungry self found itself seated there in no time. The burger I ordered is the Dave's Favorite, a ground beef and brisket hybrid slathered in a signature rich and sassy BBQ sauce and topped with Jack cheese and two strips of smoked bacon. I'm assuming your mouth is watering so I'll give you a moment to pull yourself together.

Done? Good.

The wedge fries were as crisp as they come and didn't need any salt as they were already excellently seasoned.

Didn't snap a picture but while I waited for my food to arrive, the waitress brought some kitchen made BBQ chips which were simply amazing.

It's good to have a taste of that good ol' Southern BBQ here in the tropics.

They have excellent mac and cheese. Also the catfish is good.

My grandma had the Mac and cheese, she said it had a nice kick of spice thrown into it. Never tried catfish before, how's it taste?

Guess you'll have to go back and try it. I had the appetizer sampler thingy with like 6 different things, it's in that and as long as your boss is paying (like mine did) it's a great value!

It's good to finally live near one! When I lived in Miami, the closest one was in Ft. Myers. That's quite a drive for some BBQ.

I like a good drive, and good BBQ. But I like good BBQ more than having to drive an hour to get there.

Luckily, I've got a couple in a close nuff range.

Well were I'm at now in Puerto Rico we have twisties and potholes so every drive feels like some sort of Mario Kart free roam.
