That doesn't seem ridiculous for a 428 Cobra Jet with a four speed

Thought it was ridiculous too when I opened the post. Then I saw your reply. 8-track seals the deal.

The killer thing: if I waited long enough I could get a project 70s Stang (either Fatstang or II) for little over $500. That's TWO ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE we're talking about. Even a pretty good one can be had for $5000. The cheap fun that a Stang represents (even if a cheap engine swap away) is still best enjoyed cheap.
Protip: alleged perfect 60s stangs are a really dumb way to get into Stangs these days.

It is a one-owner car with low miles. I think it's high, but at an auction it could hit $50k for a persistent buyer.

I agree. It might be a little high, and a fastback would be more, but a 428CJ four speed car is always going to bring good money.

This guy is trying to sell his car on the wrong site. Perhaps Hemmings or Ebay would serve him better.

None, that's a normal price for a one owner car like this.

Yup, especially since all you need is a basic mechanics tool set to fix up a 70's Stang.
