I have a deep desire to own this Cadillac. Buyer wants 3k. I could talk him down right? Just look at that patina!

good god I would drive that all day long. Your Lincoln and the Caddy can fight for parking space!

They would have too! I don't think my garage would be big enough for either one of them.

There should be a general rule on here that any green car is a good car.

It's nice, i'd talk him down a bit though, I would also go through the gas tank/fuel lines, brake lines/brakes and check those tires before actually driving it around

There is an unwritten rule that any '49 Cadillac is a good car.

It says OBO I'm sure you could talk him down at least 500. Then put that 500 right back into the car to make it road worthy.

Nice! Very nice!

The rust hole on top of the front driver side's light worries me a little bit, but at that price it's worth it!

And the one under the passenger tail light. I would crawl around under this with a flashlight and make sure nothing vital is rotted out, also check behind the rocker panel trim.

I'd also check rockauto and other sources and find out a)cost and b)availability of brake parts. Make sure a full rebuild of all hoses/cylinders/shoes & MC isn't going to be insane.

But if either of those become deal killers, then Nice price all the way.

Yep. Parts could be hard to find.

Unless the chassis is completely rusted out, I'd say it's still worth it. 3 000$ obo for this -especially running!- is a screaming deal! If he has a garage, and I assume he does, he can restore it over time!
