I'm listening to Method Man tonight. Enjoy a S5 in your dreams tonight. It's a proven fact that Audis make me sleep better.

Why do I have such an irrational want for certain Audis..
How is the motorcycle hunt going?

Haha, I have an irrational want for most attractive Audis also.
On the subject of the hunt, I've had to slightly drop the budget a little bit. Thanks to the fact that my Lady friend no longer favors the carpet in my house. It's probably sitting at $4,300 now, which still isn't bad. But it's not what I wanted it to be. I've been eyeing these three.

Sorry to hear that, but at the same time glad to hear its an easy fix :)
First and foremost, that Aprilia is a no. You will die from that chrome fairing. Just no lol. And the Ducati looks like it will need to much maintenance, and it will cost you more in regular upkeep that you can believe. I know because I almost bought a 2003 Monster 696, and while doing research found out how bad they are at that. And the CBR is not bad at all, but I will respectfully remind you what the price says is only what they hope to see out of it. If your budget is 4300, look at ones that ask for 4500, and offer them 3900. It seems to me like you might be setting your bar way too low. You can most likely get something less than 5 years old with that budget. At least. I did a lot of craigslist buy/sell for two years while I couldn't work, so those are just a few things to remember. Go into it knowing you will not pay what is on the add, never. Usually I added 2k or even 3k to cars that I wanted more $ out of, and 90% of the time people won't try to haggle, so you make that money. So just a friendly reminder :D
Now... Take a look at these:

Nice, Thanks! I'm liking the 09 ZX-6 a lot.
I am probably setting the bar a little too low, but my budget is basically draining into about everything that has gone wrong with my house/Audi.
Dat Ducati, Haha. I thought that was a baby seat strapped to the back of it at first. Guess not, Ha.
Also knowing that Ducati is in VAG, I'm just going to expect them to be the 1.8T of the motorcycle world, Hehe.

Well then what is more realistic? 3k? The toughest thing is to be realistic about your budget. If we can start good there then the rest is cake. What do you actually want to spend?

My budget isn't always consistent. $3K is the most realistic, leaving money for maintenance. But I'd really like a good condition bike, which isn't especially easy to get for that money. I'll reset it at $4,000. I can afford it, but then again I don't want to dig myself into a costly maintenance pit.

So lets say 3500 leaving an "Oh Shit" fund if something needs to be replaced. Thats a lot more progress than anything else we've done. Lol.

That could work indeed. That's a good idea to leave some for the "Oh Shit" fund. I'd have to say $3,800 Max and obtain a raise.

Leave that as more of a, if someone won't haggle down any more but the bike is the most beautiful thing and you desire it ever so much. Becaaaauuuse that will most likely happen lol. But yeah that is a great price. You can get something not new but new enough where it won't be just repairs all the time. Now question two, how far are you willing to go?

Yup Yup, That sounds good.
I'm probably willing to go an hour. Unless I find something that I really love, then around three.
Hyosung at one point tempted me, then quality control happened.

I have briefly. I prefer to pay flat out, but that isn't always the case. Ex, House, Car
I'll check my credit report, they're really picky about that..

You're going to love this.. Its not as long as I thought it was at first... lol but given what you just now said..
DUDE DUDE DUDE DUDE.. Just like mine, except mine was white (only one hour):
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/mcy/444410…
This one would need maybe a couple of hundred for a new fairing and paint, but don't need it. And you could save quite a bit:
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/mcy/444840…
This one is one of those you'd have to work pretty hard to talk them down to 3500, but seems doable since he "needs" the cash, and it would be totally worth it:
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/mcy/444843…
This one is only 40 minutes, but is well taken care of, and OMG liter bike:
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/mcy/444249…
This one is only 50 minutes away, at 3500 (which I bet you can walk out for at 2900):

They are super reliable and look amazing!
I bet you can talk this one down to 3500 cash on hand:
