Side note, I've been to Musi's shop a few times. The stuff in there is really cool. A whole room full of aftermarket blocks!

I'll agree with all the LS's, don't pay enough attention to CI measured engines, lol

One minor quibble, just for the sake of conversation. Ford advertised and badged the 427 powered Galaxie as a 7 "litre".

It's as close to fixed as I'm willing to get it.

agree all the way. Everything in my garage is small block Chevy powered . Got two 327s, 305 TPI, 350, 283, and a ls1. Nothing better. Had one car with a 302 ford and what piece of junk that was.

I added that part in so I wouldn't get burned at the stake. DZ302 FTW!

Edit: Sorry for your wallet, I wouldn't want to fuel one as a daily driver.

the ls1 is the daily driver in a fourth gen camaro gets decent milage. The others are not that bad either the worst gas hog is my 350. It's built hot. Dart heads, dual fours, pop up pistons, 10.5 or 11 to 1 compression can't remember. That sucker drinks gas so its a nice weekend motor

Oops, sorry. My eyes skimmed over the Ford on the first line for some reason. I just find it really, really weird that Ford would call their 427, which had a great reputation, a 7 litre in an era when most Americans had no idea what that was. It makes no damn sense, which makes it kind of wonderful.

GM has built some great engines no doubt, its to bad most of the vehicles they go into are crap.

I think thats why so many people use GM engines to swap into other, better platforms.

Also I'm pretty sure they sell a 572 BBC, unless you were skipping the "mail order crate engine" section.

Whoops, thought I got that one. Quite a few of the BBCs listed are mail order.
