Today I will have 3 (maybe four but I forget) videos of my runs from my first autocross event yesterday. Not sure when the other's will be up from my friend's camera but here's one. I think this was my fastest run but I can't remember now haha EDIT if you didn't see my post from last night, the car is my 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS I just got running running all stock on rock hard old street tires. I managed to bring home 3rd in the Novice class and 2nd out of 3 cars in H Street.

The real question is, is how fast was that Fiero? I had one at a recent autocross just destroy me! He had a good set of tires, but I wasn't expecting him to be THAT fast!
Also, what car are you driving? I have never seen a steering wheel like that before.

Good question! I didn't notice because he was driving a different class. If I remember, I'll check the time sheet when they upload to the SCR website in a day or two and let you know. My car is a 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS (FWD, non turbo 2.0)

FWD and old tires explains the understeer then, if you're already doing good now, imagine how good you'd be with some good tires :D I've yet to even attempt Auto X yet..hopefully soon.

I'm looking to sell the car asap and get something rwd like an E30 but we have another event May 10th that I'll likely race this car in again. I think with a RWD car with decent tires I might be able to bring home some nicer trophies! :)

Probably, I'm not sure if they have novice classes at the events near me but I hope they do :) Rwd or Awd would be the way to go :P My car is limited a bit too by it's weight, if u tune a 350Z up it can easily end up against Evo's and Sti's..which will kick a Z's ass.. A E30 would be awesome :D

All these autocross videos make me want to run my wife's Aveo. It's an automatic. I just want to see what I can do.
My brother-in-law has a Ford Contour he's not using as well.

Very nice driving for the first time! Did my first on Easter and am doing another Mother's day. Also on rock hard street tires that are 8 years old, but in a Miata, so just some fun oversteer and shit grip is to be had for me.
