2012 Mercedes Benz B class Sport 180 Turbo
Another American forbidden fruit. Or in the last Lincoln Marks case, American forbidden pork. This is the W246 B-Class, or in understandable terms its second generation. Both this generation and the first came to Mexico and can now be bought plenty cheap. This, not really.
As you can see by the ad it is the B-180, which in current (frustrating) tradition of any german brand it doesn't stand for the litres of the engine. It is a 1.6 that has a diminutive turbo that only sweats out 122 bhp. That isn't very much when you consider this is a tall hatchback that would be used by a family taking advantage of its added practicality. Also, for the cost, it doesn't give you as much as you'd hope since new it will set you back $ 34 grand. And there is only 1 version.
You may be thinking wow, who the hell would pay almost $35K for a car with less than 130HP! But there is some bright side to it. First off, you have to admit, this looks absolutely gorgeous. Then, to sweeten the deal it is available with a 6 speed gear stick. And inside you will find an interior thats up to any modern Mercedes. Which is to say pretty, and a nice place to be that also has the practicality of that tallish roofline.
To have this raised up Mercedes Hatchbackey thingy you would have to be crazy to buy it new. But since we all love to let others get hit with depreciation we can enjoy these much more reasonable prices. The example above isn't a manual unfortunately, but it is low mileage: 14,000 km - 8,700m. And the price has come down to $285,000 Pesos- $21,000 Dollars
