I'm staying until September. Why I'm I not quitting now? Well we will FINALLY get a training for Volvo trucks. I'll be at the same level as a mechanic from Volvo/Mack, so this is awesome. There's also another training for liquid natural gas powered trucks. Here's the catch, the training is in english and only 8 mechanics will have the right to go there out of ALLLL the mecanics shops of the compagny which means a only 2 of the mechanics in my shop. Out of all the mechanics (16+ guys) at the shop, I'm the only true bilingual guy with the supervisor, everyone else just speaks french or barely english. So this is a deal breaker...if I don't get it, then it's goodbye for good this September. The other reasons why I don't leave now is that I'm almost done putting my car in perfect shape and I still need a wad of cash to get there, which also mean that I need that stability. Also, I need to save up for the 2 weeks 10000km roadtrip in the states that I talked about a while ago and I'm building a 4k ready computer with a friend but that could wait. The last reason is that we received a 100% natural gas Peterbilt truck this week (No SR20) and I wanna learn the tricks about them. So there you go.

*Quebeckers and their French. There fixed it. I will be upset if they get a guy that don't speak shit in english for this...all the freaking time they ask me to translate the instruction manual for them if they aren't sure.

I forgot that you guys were a separate entity, sorry. That would be fucked up if they screw you over for this one, since you speak English.

This makes me wonder.. aren't people from the US mostly Bilingual? Where I come from we pretty much have a thing that you must learn at least two foreign languages when at school (English is mandatory, german/french/spanish is sort of not, but you'd better learn some), :)

No, it's the opposite. Most Americans only know English. This is because we know everyone else has to learn English, so we don't have to learn their language.

Well good, because I'm being completely serious. People in the US expect everyone else in the world to speak English. Sure they'll try to teach us Spanish in high School, but it never becomes a second language.

Nope. The only people that really know two languages here are people whose second language is English.
