A friend is buying a car, he has around 60 large to spend. He wants a new or used car, with semi-usable rear seats (big enough to fit two models). What would you buy? I would probably go GT-R. What about you?

I'd got Gtr, or S5 Prolly. Or a used Quattroporte.

Porsche 930, for only the thinnest models

Hmm.

Make the kids walk - Acura NSX...

Let the kids ride along - Subaru Sti. Checks the most boxes at any price range really. Back seat, decent power, AWD is nice, manual...

The entry level, shorter range Tesla would tempt me.

As would borrowing/saving another 20 or whatever to get the S.

I love the cars of the past, but this is the car of the future. As tempting as a garage queen E39 M5 or a 993, or something.

I've owned an '09 GT-R, you're not going to fit two models in the back seats.

A Nsx can't fit the models in the back. And a STi isn't too fitting for the young banker types.

Slap a Porsche badge on, most of the other bankers would never know its not an extremely expensive retro Porsche.

Well I'm 6'5 (or was when I was younger) and needed to put my seat all the way back to the point where there was no room for legs of any kind. Your friend's case may be different.

Hmmm... Okay, tell him the extra $9k is worth it. Trust me. Its worth it.

And here's why.

1. It's properly pretty. Its a great looking biturbo V12 powered luxury saloon with plenty of room for not only models in the back, but also for activities with said models.

Kinja'd!!!

2. Quilted stitching everywhere. It's like an Italian designed the interior or something!

Kinja'd!!!

3. The is a V12 badge in the middle of the dash. "Why is that worth noting?" you may ask. Well, I'm glad you ask because I would have told you anyways. Lets say, you just committed insider trading, being an investment banker and all. You've been found out and now the federales are on your tail. You might sigh, and prepare yourself for some time in prison because, as we all know, it would be difficult to outrun the police in a normal saloon car. But during that sigh, you see something out of the corner of your eye. Ah, yes! The V12 logo! You then remember that you are not driving a regular saloon car. No, your saloon car has lots of cylinders. And turbos. Two of them! So, what do you do? You mash the loud peddle to the plush, carpeted floor and leave those silly V8 powered police cruisers in your very expensive dust. You then flee to a country that doesn't expedite criminals and live happily on the coast in a large villa with all of the money you made from your insider trading, and buy another S65 AMG because, without it, you would be sharing a cell with a large, burly man who wants to make you his girlfriend.

Kinja'd!!!

You're welcome.

My Infiniti M37x (now the Q70) stickers a little under 60 w/ the touring package leather. I like the car. You don't see too many of them around so it's unique. The interior is beautifully made and very personal. The VQ engine even in luxury car trim w/ as much muffling as possible is not the quietest engine but it is super strong and responsive. It's a lot of fun to drive a big heavy car w/ AWD, you can launch just about as fast in the rain as you can on dry pavement.
