I don't know if we have any other Game of Thrones fans on here but if you're interested new, complete boxed sets of A Song Of Ice and Fire are going for under $35 on eBay. I had no idea they'd be that cheap, that's freaking seven bucks a book!

I kid, I kid. But seriously, isn't every other page filled with talks about how much salt was added to a piece of meat?

People who've read the series say GRRM writes with a ton of detail so I wouldn't be surprised if there's something like that, haha. Also you pre-empted me with the pic of on the 512 on campus, I took one with the blue Maserati GT next to it. You said you saw the owner, was it a kid or an adult? I've never seen that on campus before.

It was definitely an adult. I saw the same car last year and it appears to be owned by a man in his 50s very nice person.
I feel like I would read more books if they didn't decide to spend 4 pages talking about how the grass looks and 3 sentences on how a battle went down.

Good to hear it's owned by such a cool guy, at least he takes his Ferrari out for other people to enjoy as well.
Haha, I feel you, a lot of the books I've read are like that. I've heard good things about this series so i hope that won't be the case. I need a bunch of reading material for our vacation to Spain this summer, plus I watch G0T with my friends who have all read the series and I've gotten accidentally spoiler'd a few times just from their conversations.

You should be able to get them even cheaper on Amazon. My wife got them for me for something like $30. Free shipping with Prime and Ebay can't even come close.

That is a STEAL!!!
Here each book would run you about $50 for the translated version and even more for the original books. I'm seriously considering this... thanks

He is from Ohio, so he takes quite the drive to come here. The original idea for the Ferrari car show two years ago at Purdue, was actually his daughters!
I have heard good things about the book as well. My friend is reading it and he seems to like it. Although, I like to make fun of him just because I have heard how much the author likes horses and food. I generally like reading nonfiction, and it has to be car related otherwise I lose interest really fast. I have read the first Lord of the Rings book and boy was that quite a long read. TOO MUCH DETAIL!

Man, I didn't notice that set when I was looking! I have Amazon Student so I could've gotten them in like two days just like you did with Prime. Too bad I already bought the eBay set, it's an awesome deal either way.

Dude, I love the Lord of the Rings! My parents didn't let us watch TV or play video games as kids so I read books for entertainment, all 3 LoTR books and the Hobbit included. My childhood sucked :(

I would say you had very strict parents, but mine didn't let me leave the house ever! I ended up just playing video games(when they allowed me) and doing homework.
I read the first book when I volunteered at a hospital. They had a host of books to choose from so I would always pick it up and start reading it.
