Okay, for anyone in the U.K. or has access to U.K. TV namely Channel4 or Channel4OD. A new series has started charting the U.K. history and love of cars coupled with restoring some on the way.

Series 1, Episode 1 looks at buying and restoring an authentic Ford Escort Mk1 Mexico and turning it into a rally car.

(Next Episode 2 (sunday 27th of April at 8pm) is a Land Rover Series 1 followed the following week with the Triumph Stag).

The remainder in no particular order will be a Mini Cooper, a DeLorean and an MGTC.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

EDIT:

Just watched the latest episode, restoring a Land Rover Series I.

Beautiful honest machine. They are restoring a 80" Series I which was brought back to the U.K. 42 years ago and has been garaged (barned) ever since. Bought for the princely sum of GBP£6,000 all fully original (bar a bodged chassis repair 40+ years ago). The host takes a Series I for a drive up Honister in my beautiful home county of Cumbria. The landy also does me proud in that it was registered in my home city of Carlisle.

"The route is very winding, with gradients of 1 in 4 as it ascends to the summit. At its peak the pass is an upland wilderness, with barren, boulder strewn slopes. The road through the pass is the B5289, which runs through Borrowdale. It is undoubtedly one of the most dramatic roads in the Lake District."

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!
