Do you guys ever open any of your cars?? Since I started collecting a couple months back, I almost always bought more than one of the same car if I intended to open it in the future, but I finally got the one(the pic above) I was most after(again, thanks Frosted!) and I'm not sure if I should open it or not. I actually bought 4 Panameras, 2 DMC-12s, 2 Vipers and some others for that reason. I'm tempted to open it tonight, but I'm not sure.

I opened mine (I have the same GT2) but I'm still a kid and I do play with them when I get bored at work.

it's just that I hear talks of collectible this and that it's better to leave in the package. I guess that's only if you plan to sell them later?

Yeah, I mean, when I collect things I usually do the same that you do, buy 1 to open and 1 to leave alone, it is fun collecting things and having them accumulate value, but for me I've never been able to leave hot wheels in the packaging I always had to open them. If you think you shouldn't open it until you can find another, don't open it. Another will pop up I got my GT2 at wally world a few weeks back.

Every single one. I'm not collecting them for value, I'm collecting them because I like them. You can't appreciate the details when it's in the box!

Mine was generously offered for trade by a fellow Opponaut here. The thing is that I've been to every store within a possibly 10 mile radius that comes to mind and couldn't find one or any of those 50th Mustang specials.

I try and only open ones that I have doubles of or if I really like them. I made the mistake of opening all of them and then having like 6 LaFerraris on my desk.

I didn't know there was a section for die-cast cars and Hot Wheels on here! Do I need to do anything different from regular OPPO? Also, does anyone post about model kits?
