Specifically the Mitsubishi Endeavour, as there is a good chance of it being my next vehicle, some preliminary poking around and research seems to show it in a good light and as a fairly solid SUV but I wanted to know if anyone has owned / owns one currently and if there is anything i should know or be aware of.

They're uh... Mitsubishi. That's about all I know.

the driver's door panel will make a stupid clicking noise every time your left knee touches it, and your left knee will touch it. And the seats are pretty stiff. I'd honestly take a trailblazer over an Endeavor. And I generally hate Chevys.

I would never recommend it to someone. I don't know much about it specifically, (although I do find it ugly) but I know that all recent Mitsubishis have a reputation for slightly above average reliability, and slightly below average everything else, especially in terms of interior quality, value, and equipment. I don't know what the constraints on your search are, but I would highly recommend looking at almost anything else that meets them. A Trailblazer, a Pilot, a Highlander, anything. That's just me, though.

I actually don't mind the styling at all, but then again this is coming from a guy that doesn't immediately cringe at the sight of an Aztek and thinks the Panamera is actually not that bad...A trailblazer is out of the question, instead consideration has been for an Equinox and the Pilots and Highlanders are all overpriced for the kilometres on them unfortunately

Then I would take the Equinox. But, if you drive both and decide that you like the Endeavor better or it is the better deal, it's up to you. If you like it better, buy it.
