I like them! 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. Honda Reliability. Looks decent (JUST LIKE A MERCEDES S-CLASS COUPE!). I think I could forgive its wrong wheel drive as a DD.

Fail wheel drive!
All kidding aside it's a really nice car. A friend of mine bought one a few years ago which impressed me how nice Honda made cars

I actually like the Accord, even the sedan. I wish Chevy wouldn't have killed the 3.6 in the Malibu, that would've made a good car this go around.

Lets take a great practical sedan and make it less practical!!
Sorry, I can't be sold on FWD coupes. #RWDfanboy

It's a rather nice car actually, sedan included.
The only problem with the Coupe in particular is with that money or just a bit more you could get something with a sexier badge and RWD/AWD, both things that while minor still do matter.
(for some reason this week I've only posted about honda, next week........volvo)

The 6MT alone is worth it.

Yes the 4cyl 6MT Sport sedan will 0-60 in about 6.8 it is really nice. I would've bought one for myself if the only available colors weren't black or grey.

That's too bad. I remember you making a post or two about that. What did you end up with?

I'm still holding on to my '10 Mazda3 that I leased when new. I considered the Accord when my lease was up. I ended up buying out the lease. Book value on the car was 17k my buyout was 12600. There was nothing else at the time that I could afford that I wanted. So I'll hoon the 3 until I have the cash for a nice wagon.

Good! The Mazda 3 is better alternative to the other cars in its class. It has a soul! It is always smiling.

Thumbs up from me: But might as well consider the Si too :D
Actually, if they would give me the sedan and the V6 + 6MT I would love to go that route too.

I have mixed feelings on FWD sportsters. I've seen plenty of cars using that base turn into properly quick vehicles. And the thing about FWD is though it has a very low limit performance wise, that limit happens to be almost exactly at the "useable" limit.
anything more powerful than the most powerful FWD cars, and suddenly you've got something you can't fully access on the roads. And while I much prefer RWD, I can't deny that there is some pretty wicked witchcraft going on to make these things acceptable.

Ask me questions if you have any. I have the 2014 inline 4 version in the ex-l trim and it checks off my boxes for what I need in a DD. More than enough space for at least 4(you can sit five pretty nicely), a comfy interior, leather seats, a bit of fake pleather on the panels though, but it honestly doesn't bug me since the pieces you touch and use everyday are leather, fun to drive and push every once in a while(okay maybe a lot more than once in a while), a decent stereo system, and it looks really good IMHO. This thing does understeer but it's easily fixable with just a bit of braking and letting off the throttle. One thing I like is that the steering will get heavier if you turn to sharply at speed or traction control suspects you are doing something it doesn't like. If you turn it TC off, watch out for those patches or bumps in the road because if the car starts to lift when you go over a bump at 50 and traction control is off, that could easily turn messy, the things is pretty heavy. The thing lacks power because of its gas saving properties if you aren't on the gas, but once you step on it, it has pretty damn good acceleration, the v6 can only be better. The engine is really quick revving, and at 7500rpm's IT SOUNDS AMAZING(idk how how it goes on the v6). Mostly engine sound on the 4 cylinder version, not much in terms of exhaust notes, idk about the 6 cylinder. It has really good steering, and honda did a great job with it, even though it is fwd. It's the macphereson struts I tell you. I have two problems with it, some people get a clicking sound from the steering column, and there is no fix for it. Honda has even admitted this. But I have only noticed it once. Also there is a bit of road noise at high speeds. I have just reached 1500 miles on mine, i'll do a review later.

it's weird because in Canada you can get the 4cyl sport manual in all colors. why would they limit the manual to two colors?sounds dumb on Honda's part

I dunno, I guess because 3 pedals cars tend to sit on the dealer lots in the US.

I bought the Honda Accord 2012 V6 Coupe with manual trans. Kept it about 18 months before trading it in. I agree it was fun to drive and the interior was excellent, but the deal breaker was the infotainment. The nav system was a wreck, both non-intuitive and confusing. The car often required me to re-sync my phone to get to the contacts list. Don't get me started on the voice controls... The electronics were so user-unfriendly that the poor service manager couldn't even get it to work when brought it to them for assistance. The videos at the honda web site were no help as everything worked perfectly for them.
In the future, I'm going to pay just as much attention to the electronics and nav when test driving a new car as I do on the driving experience and mechanicals....
I hope things are better for your 2014.
