Kinja is okay. There are still issues, but when it works it's a good platform.
The problem is people are horrid. I know there are idiots everywhere in the world, but for whatever reason it appears as though the highest concentration is in the US.
I will never understand why so many people are so willfully, arrogantly ignorant about so many important things. I do not know everything. I am indeed ignorant about a great many things; particle physics, fluid dynamics, Math beyond basic algebra, electricity (Seriously, it's magic.). But there are many people for whom not knowing anything about basic science, or math, or the ability to reason, etc is a point of pride.
I weep for our future.

Great article by the way. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Shame the 67 wasn't willing to cooperate.
I feel the same way about cars. I work for a Lexus dealer, and yet, I cannot stand driving our cars because there is so little involvement.
I much prefer my 2002 SVT Focus. Perfectly executing a heel-toe, rev-matched down shift will never, ever be boring.
