"PushToStart" (pushtostart)

Have a mini photodump of Eric Clapton's Ferrari SP12 EC that I've been thinking of a lot lately. Nothing against the 458, it's a really great looking car, but my god this thing looks so much better to me. The things I'd do to be able to park this and an original BB next to each other in my garage...

I love this car, but I think it would look even better if the bottom half was red instead of black.
Have car, will drive (now has a motorcycle too)

You just brightened my day a little. I really like this car, the design is cohesive in an attractively understated way.

The Clapton is 1000x more attractive than any Ferrari since the F430.

Agreed. It is a Berlinetta Boxer paint scheme... but the body seams on the SP12-EC just aren't quite in the right place for the two-tone to look right. Too low in the front, and too high in the back.

It's a tribute to the original Berlinerta Boxer, which had that 2 tone paint scheme

Alright....got my flame-suit on...
I love the 458. I love the BB512. I'm glad Clapton can afford to have a one-off built that marries the two in looks. I just don't think it should've been done. I think that is one god-awfully hideous car. I understand the point of the two colors, but that puts me in mind of original Honda Elements and Saturn Vues that had heavy plastic body cladding at the bottom to prevent body dings and paint scratches. I can't un-see it.
I'm glad he likes it, and that lots of other people do, too.
No, sir....I don't like it.
