I must admit i've been surprised by a few things this year,and also got a couple of things right (but not always for the reasons i've thought! ;-)
Some random stuff that jumps to mind;
-Like most i got the reliablity thing completely wrong!!!As it turns out,even the teams were surprised.I'm sure a bunch of them detuned and/or optimised the software of these cars to ensure they finished races -everyone seemed to think they'd pick up some easy points if they'd just get to the checkered flag.
On that same subject ,it looks like the slow teams have missed the golden opportunity to get some points on the board.I wonder if any deliberately overspent to ensure they got some points 'while they were easy to get'.I would have tried that if i were in their shoes
-I cant say i'm surprised Raikkonen is so slow.I didnt for a second believe he'd beat Alonso straight out! I'm also sure he'll catch him eventually .He just needs experience in that truck.Sorry,car
-Merc.Well it was easy to see they were going to do well but i cant honestly say i thought they'd be this strong!I thought for sure their tire wear problems would return.On that subject who do you think is responsible for fixing that?Was it Ross Brawn?Or was that all his problem?And thus now its gone because this new car is someone else's?
-How long before vettle gets the car setup how he likes so he can beat ricciardo? Yeah,i'm hoping never... ;-)
-I'm so glad williams are doing ok.For a while there i was worried they were running light in testing so they could attract sponsors.I'm still not convinced they didnt!But at least they werent blatantly faking it like the Prost team did years ago.Such a thing would be tough to stomach from good guys like williams

Until F-1 comes up with an engine package that doesn't sound like a sewing machine, then I'm not going to watch. I've tried a few times already, but the gentle hum of the engines puts me right to sleep.

Pretty decently. Though, I'm surprised it took Alonso this long to get a podium.
