I was working on this last night. The proportions are a bit off in some areas, and it's still a work in progress but I'd say it's not a bad first attempt for someone who never builds planes.

Not bad at all. Perhaps make the fuselage a little longer and you'll have it.

Yeah I'm still working on that. I stuck the rear wing on just to get a feel for the finished product.
The nose isn't quite the right shape, but it's using building techniques I've never tried before so I'm very happy with it in that regard.

It does look a bit closer to a MIG-15 than an F-86. It's the nose, I couldn't get the shape right.
