So I am beginning to be in the market for a weekend car. Saw one of these on the road the other day while my wife was with me. She is a big fan of me getting a Miata. I told her I wouldn't mind getting an MR2. She said, "But there is no back seat, like, at all!" I told her to look up the interior of the Miata on her phone. LOL
I really want a turbo MR2.

Do it, they make awesome weekend cars. They're surprisingly competent for probably 90% of my needs in a vehicle, I drive mine as a DD. Plenty of room for groceries, tons of creature comforts, and of course it's a badass turbocharged mid-engined coupe.

EWWW GET THAT DIRT OFF MY SCREEN!!!
Just kidding. Funny how well that generation of MR2 has aged. One of the better examples of 90's Japanese car design.
I've always kind of wanted one, I used to own a 3SGTE powered Celica and it made me feel a certain kinship with the MR2 Turbo.

I agree, I think it looks great. People double-take when I tell them it's older than I am.
3S-GTE brothers for life, yo. I always like to play with old Celicas while driving around, even just for driving something from the same time period.

I feel your pain. I washed my car Thursday and by yesterday the back hatch was already filthy again.
And it's black, so you can tell it's filthy from a mile away

Yeah, that's pretty much about as often as I wash mine. Typically once a week is what I strive for, weather permitting.
