So Oppo, after quite a bit of research, I've decided to start trying to track down a 5.0 Coyote engine to swap into my '08 Mustang.
Now since this is Oppo, I probably don't have to make this disclaimer, but don't tell me I should just trade my car in and buy one with a 5.0. I know its going to be more expensive this way, but I like the way my car looks and I have enough money in the suspension that I want to keep it. Also, it would be super bad ass considering there are not many S197's with a Coyote swap. I've found a couple threads, and it seems that if I can get my hands on a wiring diagram, it shouldn't be that nightmare-ish to do myself slowly over time. So now that that's out of the way, where would you guys suggest I look for used engines? I know the obvious answers are Ebay and Craigslist, but do you guys have any other suggestions? I have also checked out Copart, since I would have the space to keep a wrecked car to part out, but that is a larger initial investment most likely, and riskier. I have also thought about asking around at local Mustang shops to see if anyone is pulling this motor for something even crazier. So let me know if you guys have any other suggestions.
EDIT: I also realized I can search a bunch of Mustang forums, so I am going to do that as well.

Doing something like this with "just the engine" to "save money" will end in tears. Buy an entire Coyote Mustang that runs but was mangled in an accident. That's "the only way to fly" without nickel-and-diming yourself to death. Think of the mangled Mustang as a "productive asset" you can part to recoup (some of) your costs as you complete the swap. As someone who has "been there" and "done that" more times than I can count, I've taken to buying what I would have tried to build when I was younger. But building stuff is still super fun, so good luck to you sir!

Yea I saw all the Ebay ones. If I get one though I will probably want just the motor, since I don't need that ECU and I will probably go with a TR6060 transmission.

Thanks. The reason for getting just the engine is I already have to get a separate ECU and wiring harness to get it to work with my gen Mustang, and I would also want to go with an aftermarket transmission (Tremec TR6060). I realize I could still sell these off of a donor car I bought, but if I can find a good deal on the engine alone, might as well do it.
