Jetta Coupe

This would be a tribute to the original Jetta, it would bring enthusiasts to the brand, and create news for VW. It would be a poor mans A5, but with similar german (Mexican) feel.

Heres how VW could sell it:

TDI Value Edition 6 speed: around 21K

Base 2.0 diesel 6 speed/DSG: around 22K

Loaded Diesel 6 speed/DSG: around 25-26K

Base 1.8 turbo 6 speed with cloth: around 22K

Loaded 1.8 Turbo 6 speed: around 25K

Base 2.0 Turbo 6 speed/DSG : around 26K

Loaded 2.0 Turbo 6 speed/DSG: around 30-31K

Jetta R Coupe 2.0 280+ HP AWD 6 speed/DSG: 35-40K

Id buy this in a heartbeat.

I think it'd actually be quite smart! Steal some sales from the Civic coupe, TC, Forte Koupe, Elantra Coupe, and many others.

Id get a diesel and be quite happy with it.

I know! I thought about it for a moment and the only other VW coupe is the beetle, and it would hurt its sales. Also, that market of cheap coupes has been staid for a while.

I'm sold! A base 1.8 turbo 6 speed will do me (base cars have a strange appeal to me, though I'd pass on the diesels). I guess a Jetta R Coupe could be quite alright too...

I don't know if it really would though considering what the Beetle is.. its more of a fashion statement like the Veloster.

And Id say the coupe market is doing okay conidering that companies keep making them. The Elantra coupe is selling decently and the Civic coupe is the young go-to.

Id say itd sell great because again people love brands. Whats better? Honda or VW? Kia or VW? Etc...
