So my son in law picked this up, early 71' Z. You can see some rust by the dog leg there but that is about all that is deep, not too bad really. Very original car, original paint, I will have a look at it when I visit. It has triple webers I think. I heard it over the phone, sounds great. It had a top end rebuild, 84K original miles.

The crazy thing is these are 500lbs lighter than just a couple years later thanks to safety regulations. Oh he says it also has a roll bar behind the seats that connect to the towers in back. He wants to do some classic rallies.

Apparently almost a barn find. The man started to work on it after it was in storage for a while, hence the engine being so nice. It was down to Santa Cruz from SF, not a bad drive back I bet. He saw it and called him immediately, went down to look at it the next day and got it for $500 less than he asked.

Always loved those... behind the quarter looks like it may be a bit wavy too, might be bondo in there. Get that thing on a rack and give the underside a good going over, make sure there are no critical areas rotted before driving it that would make it unsafe.

he says the whole thing is clear. One front fender someone sat on but It should pop up a bit. The paint is oxidized more in some areas so it might play with The light. Im sure there are some places where the metal was bumped, the first Zs had thinner metal. there Is a tiny bit under the hatch. the battery tray is even good.
