Feeling inspired by crzrsn's borderline !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I used my day off to prep the XJ for fender flare trimming and attack the dust and filth coating the FZ6.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Having already lost one at highway speeds, I got the remaining 3 fender flares and rear bumper caps off the XJ without major incidents. No pictures because she's shy.
On to the bike. Landlord hasn't fixed the hose yet, so I took it down the road to a self-serve wash. Everything went much better than expected there, except for an old creep in a BMW cleverly telling me to get on my bike so he could wash us at the same time. Haha, good one, die.
Now onto the wheels... the chain lube I use has been making a damn mess of them. Yes, those are supposed to be silver, see the half-cleaned sprocket for contrast. I'm ashamed.
Using the same stuff crzrsn used to get the undercoating off the Mustang, I attacked the wheels. Muuuuch faster and easier than the cleaner I was using before.
All done! Much better. Never letting my wheels get that shameful again. I took her out for a quick run and then settled in to watch the Red Wings. Not a bad day.

Nope, not even when my dad had the 520 conversion on it. Went back to stock when I changed the chain and sprocket last season and no issues.
