I came a little bit when I found out.
It'll be my first time riding in one of my dream cars. I'm also hoping to write a post about my his shop's turbo e46 323i and their V8 e30 track car soon. The e46 is putting down 340hp off 8 psi of boost. She's rowdy as hell.
Clarification: It isn't his car. Frankly I don't know who's it is, but it's most likely the shop owner's. He works at an independent shop in North Carolina (once I find out about the provenance of the car I'll update this post).

E39 M5 LeMans Blue is #1 car I want. I rode in one last summer, 230k+ miles, and it was nice. A few performance upgrades were on it as well. Made me want one even more. Wasn't allowed to drive it. :-(

I bought an E46 M3 last year. While I love it I keep wishing I had bought a LeMans Blue E39 M5. Especially cause my car isn't even Laguna Seca Blue, it's just dark grey...
There are only so many LeMans Blue E39 M5s in the world. And everyone wants one. It would have been a smarter purchase. Had I got one it probably would have been worth more today than what I paid for it.

I agree, LeMans Blue e39s are rare, I'm honestly not sure what color it is, that's a stock photo from wikipedia (god, I hope its LeMans Blue). I bet your e46 is fantastic! I'm quite jealous, trust me.

I *think* that is LeMans blue. If it's not I still love it. BMW makes such nice blues...
Thanks but don't be jealous cause I got the "wrong" transmission, haha. It's SMG equipped.
But at least it is the coupe. I didn't get the SMG convertible. That would have got me banned from Oppo for life

Yes, SMG convertibles are a sure way to attract some hate over here haha. I talked to my brother, the car is Carbon Shwartz Metallic, with a six-speed. Looks black, but it's a really dark blue.
Apparently it's in fantastic shape. We're going to get our dad to drive it and hopefully he'll fall in love and buy his own!

Sadly, it's a borrowed car. He works at an independent shop and the owner agreed to let him take it home. We're trying to convince our dad to get one. Hopefully, he'll drive it and fall in love. I already fell in love with it years ago haha.
