More complicated is not necessarily better. It might be a performance edge, or it might be negligible enough to be offset by something else the other teams have.
Tricky to tell at this stage.

ok, they don't assemble the finished aircraft, but they did build a part of a plane I stand by my statement, sir.
Eurofighter also has an assembly line in Germany that kicks out completed aircraft. So, neener.
