In Charleston, wagons are "trucks" and in Savannah trucks are Ferraris.

Why couldn't we let them just separate?

You also forgot: Alcohol is water, proper English is a lost art, and a double-wide is considered like a mansion.
Of course, I'm jerking around with you Southern folk, feel free to rip on us Midwesterners (sic?) and Northerners.

Haha...not just wagons, you can get 'truck' plates in Charleston on any vehicle registered to a business. The funniest I saw when I lived there was a Smart. It costs yearly extra dough but it allows you to park for up to 30 minutes in the commercial loading zones.

Why not combine the two?

the wagon-truck is likely just CAFE averaging. PT Cruiser was a truck for a while.

And everything is Coke. Want some Pepsi? Ask for a Coke. Want some Mt. Dew? Ask for a Coke. Want some Coca Cola? Yep, you guessed it - ask for some Sweet-tea.
No, wait....

I purchased my Forester from a guy in Oklahoma that used it for work, so he had tagged as a "Commercial Truck" Oklahoma, and many other states consider them a light truck. As do the parts stores, they are under "Subaru Truck"
That said, the Fozzie has more ground clearance than a 2wd Ranger, I believe it has to do with things like ride height and towing capacity, etc.
