I'll be selling my B7 A4 to another family member in a couple years. I'm building a list of Cars to consider, and I need Oppos help with the list. The Max I'm willing to spend is around $12,000. In order to be able to have more Motorcycle also.

It can really be anything, Except

Nothing older than 1995, and four doors preferably.

Don't say Miata.

Automatic is a No-No

The List

B5 A4 2.8

B6 A4 3.0

Infiniti G35 Coupe

Bugeye Wrx

Bugeye Integra (Thanks BugEyedAcura)

GTI Mk5

Passat W8

Audi S6 Avant (No Manual, I has a sad)

Tacoma 4Wd

Hmmm, the year rule is rather important to me for a DD.

The P71, I'm not exactly sold on the idea. The Roadmaster, No manual. No happy.

I'd love a Datsun 240Z, but not for everyday driving.

I'm liking the first gen Cts-V. I'll look into the rarity.

The G8 Gt, as much as I love the looks. Doesn't have MT.

I really thought the GT did, must've only been the GXP. Now if your willing to sacrifice a back seat, Sky Redline would be a good alternative to Miata.

Nissan 300zx first gen with pop ups, e30,e36,2002 or M3 (I hate that year rule)

Saturn Astra. It was even available with a huge panoramic sunroof too!

Corolla XRS/Matrix XRS/Vibe GT 2zz yo

Mazda Protege5

Hyundai Elantra GT

Focus ZX5 (if you're lucky you might be able to find a manual wagon)

If the G35 coupe is on your list, why isn't the G35 sedan? Especially if you want 4 doors haha (the sedan is in fact available with a manual)

E36 sedan (they were still making them after 1995!)

Normally I'd say no the the 1MZ even though I like Toyota because it's kind of the German Engineering of 90s Toyotas (difficult to work on the because getting to the back of the engine), but if you're used to VW/Audi then you should have no problem. The 97-01 V6 Camry was available with manual transmission (in fact, Takuro has one). Sadly it wasn't available on the equivalent ES300

first-gen IS300 sedan (sadly the wagon was automatic-only)

Jaguar X-Type

Jaguar S-Type/Lincoln LS V6

first-gen CTS (the V might even be in your budget)

07+ Civic Si sedan

CPO Focus or Fiesta

The backseat is important. I've got a rather large dog, and a Lady Friend to cart around.

The Chevrolet Ss Sedan should have a manual. If I had the money, and if that thing was manual. That would be a Insta-Want.

You can get the first gen CTS base model with manual trans and 255 hp V6.

Shit, I forgot the Is300. That was supposed to on the list.

Thanks for the suggestions! The Jaguars I'm just terrified of the bills that they will bite me in the ass with.

Probably not any Corolla, Matrix, Vibe, Focus, Fiesta for me though.

The SS should definitely have a manual tranny, maybe once production moves over here in 2017, it will.

Now the back seat request makes sense. I'd say the CTS-V would be the best choice if you go the GM route.

Yeah, The only thing that I see wrong with the Cts-V is the interior. Gahhhh

What do you expect? Audi levels of quality in a 2004-2007 GM car? HA! The seats are comfy, steering wheels is leather wrapped, and it has navigation. Just ignore everything else and focus on the 400 thumping horses hauling you down the highway!

No problem! And thanks for not hating on my suggestions too much :)

Yeah the Jaguar repair bills, and any European car repair bills in general, are scary, but I thought you could handle it since you already have an Audi :p

Haha, I appreciate it.

With the Audi, I was blessed with a warranty for a while. Now it's out, and luckily not that much has gone wrong since then.

If you're willing to go down to 91 on that year rule you could get a honda crx: bulletproof engine, damn good gas mileage, it's pretty practical with the large hatch, and it's damn fun.

Hmmm....I'd probably not want to go back that far.

Not enough doors, too old and most of them are beat to shit by now.

but fuel efficient race car?? And it's only 4 years older with room for your dog?

Kinja'd!!! jkm7680 > catkam623 misses his 944
04/23/2014 at 21:23

Kinja'd!!!0

Yeah, There's room for the dog probably. It's a little older than I would like, Smaller too.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Crx for what it is but I just don't know if it's got the amount of features that I need. A 4D Crx, that would be a want.

I understand that I was partially looking for something noone else had said if I were you I'd get the first gen CTS-V like previously recommended.

Yeah, I appreciate it though.

I'll look into them as reliable four wheels Fun on a budget though. Something like the one in the link, but that'll have to wait until I get a new DD and Bike.
