Could have worked if they had stronger or more support, more 4x4's .

*GASP!* My dear boy… Chuck Jones was the cartoonist/animator who made Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes animated shorts.

I just remember Mel Blanc who wonderfully made all those unique voices.

Oh ah. He worked with Chuck Jones since the beginning. I wish I can hear his voices.

Yeah, Mel died a few years ago and with him and Chuck, the great cartoons. Now a question for a non US person. Have you ever watched the Three Stooges?

With Chuck Jones, Walt Disney, William Hanna and Joseph Barbara gone, we're left with animated shorts that aren't funny. Ja , I've seen parts of Three Stooges, Charlie Chaplin and Pink Panther (the original series).

I prefer animated shorts that were done the old fashioned way (drawing every single frame like a flip book). Computerised animated shorts suck. I need to have those video tapes of the goodies converted to DVDs before they start to age.

I have that video on one of my VHS tapes of Disney, Looney Tunes and Merries Melodies goodies.

Nothing special. Worked this morning. Came home. Unloaded and put back stuff that I loaned to Janet's sister and her lifemate. They were getting a rental house they own near here ready to be rented again. They live in LA so they have to borrow all the tools when they get here. Good folks. Don't mind giving them stuff that I have for them to use. Between me and Janet, we have just about everything they needed. Easter is not that big a deal without small kids around.

How do you celebrate Easter? Or should I say Is there any traditional ways? We have the Easter Bunny and hiding decorated eggs and candy. I am not a religious man, so none of the traditional things like the go to church stuff.

I trust you folks had a relaxing day.

Easter is more about getting together, sharing happiness and hunting for sweets than a religious holiday among us Kiwis. Our family, friends, including Nakita's BFFs and their families, and neighbours came over to celebrate and hunt for Easter eggs. Nakita can't have sweets because of his ADHD, but he happily helped his friends hunt. Ivan and I were busy barbecuing. When the party started to wind down, we ended the day with a pool party. Good times. We were worried the Easter spirit was dead, but figured the spirit is still there because of Nakita.

Yep. Most holidays are for the children. Since you talk about sweets, my favorite is licorice jelly beans followed by marshmallow chickens, called Peeps.

*gags * I can never understand why people LOVE Peeps. The same goes to all other marshmallow products. No store-bought sweets are allowed because we don't want anyone to get an allergy reaction to food additives and/or artificial ingredients, so we made homemade caramels and biscuits (cookies). Me mum brought homemade meringue pies (orange, lemon and lime). * starts foaming at mouth *
