Here it is, un-bob'd.

How does one even get the necessary measurements to make complex curves like that, much less actually model them? As someone who is used to boxy drawings in Autodesk Inventor, stuff with lots of curves boggles my mind.

The only measurements I use are the overall ones (Height, width, depth, etc) and some photos + Blue prints...which are often wrong and have perspective artifacting which causes them to not matchup at all. So you have to guess and interpolate your way to victory. I'm guessing Turn 10, Polyphony and everyone else doing it professionally gets accurate schematics from the companies themselves, but I'm just a poor guy with a freeware 3D modeling program, so I gotta make due, lol.

I am in awe of your skills. My 3D modeling is limited to making things (maps, weapons, etc.)for Jedi Knight II & III, which of course nobody plays any more.

That's why I use Sketchup for my Car designing needs.

never too late to up your skills, friend! Cars are only beaten by cats as far as online reference material goes. Why not pick a model and give it a try?

I don't really have any time to allocate for it and 3D was an interest that came and went. I'll leave it to talented people like you!

I would love so much to make a model of my own car and stick it into Need for Speed or Midtown Madness 2 or something of that ilk...
