Yet to have Cars & Coffee expand into the greatest city in the world, Supercar Saturdays are still good enough for receiving out annual supercar fix within the suburbs of Chicagoland. Here is the 2014 schedule. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

I am pretty excited, although the first one is the weekend before finals.

Where in the world is Bannockburn? I have never heard of that place, ever.

I'm pretty glad cars and coffee hasn't come here yet. I'd much rather have friday and saturday night car shows than get up early.

I wish we would get somethin' like this rolling around here (Davenport, IA/Quad-Cities). We've got the population, we've got the cars, and many surrounding cities have the cars as well.

During the warmer months we usually just have a "Quad Cities Cruisers" car show at one of the local malls, but it's mostly vintage and modern muscle, with the occasional sportscar, exotic, and European classic in the mix. There's also smaller car gatherings like for British cars which brings in some nice vintage Jags and MGs and the occassional Lotus, but nothing that's just flat-out exotics and huge and full of IMO "exciting" cars.

The 100th Chevelle or Corvette or Mustang JUST. GETS. FUCKING. OLD. after not very long, ya know?

Yeah, most of the car shows I used to go to where just:

mustang, mustang, camaro, challenger, mustang, camaro, chevelle, mustang, camaro, camaro, etc...

So glad I found this.

That's seriously basically all it is around here and it blows. I mean don't get me wrong, I like the vintage iron, but Jesus it just gets so boring and unoriginal after so long. Thankfully some of the guys in their Vipers, Ferraris, DeLoreans, etc aren't afraid to show up, but usually the Ferraris, Lamborghinis, etc are only seen driving around on random occasions.

I don't know if they don't want people swarming their cars at shows, or if they feel this area isn't too accepting of rich people with that much money to spend on cars, or what the reason is .

Thing is, this area is literally booming with growth in upper-class housing and cars, year after year, so I can't imagine they aren't bringing their exotics to our shows out of fear that they won't be "accepted" or will be spat at by the working-class farmer folk lol. It's not like this is a strictly blue collar-only, small farm town where everyone knows everyone and we all drive old Ford and Chevy pickups around the farm, and "that guy with the Mercedes who just moved in down the street" is the evil corporate asshole who is gonna tear down the old ma and pa shops to make hotels and a strip mall...

OK, enough of that babble lol. I just don't get. We have so many sportscars and exotics, and there are also so many in the surrounding areas within an hour from all directions. Why they shy away from our car shows is beyond me, but I'd kill for a "Cars and Coffee" type event, where not only are Lamborghinis welcomed, but expected...

I just hope my car is ready by May 3. I'll be there with a couple other Cadillac V bros.

I might be able to make the tail end of the first one. I'm walking for the March of Dimes with a friend who lost her daughter due to pregnancy complications.

Count me in for every other event this year!
