It's a more practical Cobalt SS! It's basically a wagon! A turbocharged, 260 bhp wagon!
I've secretly lusted over one of these for as along as I can remember. Drop it a little more, chip the engine, and have a track machine that could be used to go grocery shopping or on a road trip.
Sure the interior is crap, just like any other GM vehicle being produced at the time. But it gets the job done dammit! There's Recaro seats and 3 pedals, that's all that matters.
Now if you excuse me, I'll be scouring Craigslist for a Black one.

I like it, but the build quality in the interior at lest it probably Sub-Par.

It's a pre 2010 GM car, what do you expect? Audi levels of interior crafts menship!?

I'd get one and do a Panel Hhr conversion if I had a mobile detailing business or something.

GM beat you to it

I should elaborate. I have questionable taste in vehicles, to be sure, so I am hardly one to be casting aspersions, but this (and the stupid, STUPID SSR) make me throw up things I ate as a child. Sorry, but they're so, so, SO ugly...
![]() 04/14/2014 at 16:13 |

But wagon!

Any Delta platform car had a shit interior.

nice I didn't know they did an SS trim on the panels ones
![]() 04/14/2014 at 16:16 |

I think they only did it for like 1 year

I believe Demuro said that was a positive high class "Exotic" material used in Ferraris?
I also hear it's flammable.

Yes, wagon, yes turbo, yes 3 pedals, yes practical, but it still looks like someone beat the hell out of it with the ugly stick.
Probably just my personal Chevy bias. I haven't cared for anything they have produced since the 60s.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. I want that. I'd open a bakery and blast this on deliveries.

You are not alone.

No, just some levels of interior craftsmanship.

Even better.
The more rare panel Version SS
![]() 04/14/2014 at 18:33 |

One produced for a year if I'm correct.
![]() 04/14/2014 at 18:44 |
|
What do you mean?
The numbers were low but it wasn't one per year
I know of at least 2 in my area, but they are rarely driven and one is an Auto the other is a stick
There is a couple more in Canada.
I wish I got an HHR SS instead of the SS Turbo.

What the hell was I trying to type? Produced for one year is what i meant!

There yah go lol
I was like what.....
The total was somewhere around 300~ if I remember right.
![]() 04/14/2014 at 18:57 |

That's tragically low..
![]() 04/14/2014 at 18:58 |

Looked it up, 216 to be exact.
I like the low production numbers.
Makes the car more weird, out there.

It's funny, cause there's like 3 of them in a 10 miles radius of me.

Panel Versions?
![]() 04/14/2014 at 19:15 |
|
Yeah!
![]() 04/14/2014 at 19:25 |
|
No shit haha
I need one. Bad.
Its just so interesting to see something that is labeled as a "workhorse" move as fast as the HHR panel does, especially with a stripped out interior.

I bet the ass end kicks out real well on those.

Even my Cobalt steps the rear out if I power off in the corners.....really a scary feeling when the only correction is more power through it, unlike a rear wheel drive where you can steer out.
