Cool car! A bit to rough for me, though.

If that audio wiring job is what is considered "professionally" done with no corners cut.
Then I must be the greatest stero wirerer(is that a word) on planet earth....
Although that does still look like a good deal none the less.

Nice. I'm on the hunt for my next flip... I haven't really found anything good on the NJ craigslist lately though. I missed out on a $3000 190E 2.3-16v yesterday.

Ugh. That's the exact spec i've always wanted, but i'm both not buying a car right now and also on the other side of the country. M/T 4-door E36 M3's are very rare.
Also completely off topic, you did a way way better job on your FD than they did on wheeler dealers the other week. Did you see the 2CV episode though? that might have been my favorite episode in a long long time. Love how weird that car is!

Thanks! I actually tweeted them and they replied saying that they thought it was unique. The 2CV was amazing though. That thing needed a ton of work and I was a little put off that they glanced over some of the major bits like paint. I really want one.

If you're interested in combining forces, I'm sure we can corner the market on flipping cool cars in NJ. Also, a 2.3-16 for $3k? What was wrong with it?

The way the wires were run through the car makes me think it was a professional install, as well as the fact that there was a sizable fuse block as well as premium hardware. The RCA cables were too long and that's why they were bunched up and sloppy as they were in the picture. The whole system is pretty decent and sounds amazing. I do agree that it could've been done cleaner, but it's far from amateur hour, especially on a car that's driven daily.

Per the sellers description it was mechanically sound but had cosmetic issues. It didn't look too bad in the photos, though. I'm guessing he didn't really know what it was worth, by the time I called him he already had someone there looking at it, and they bought the car. I'd be down to work together sometime, let me know if you need any help... Guessing you're in Elizabeth like the eBay auction states; I'm in union county not too far away.

Wow, this thing is rough. Wonder what the undercarriage looks like, yikes.
