Another full day of putting in the drivers seat. To be honest, that one was more difficult than the passenger seat. But who cares now! They are oh so comfy to drive around in... so far...
.
so here is a before and after with all of my interior changes:
.
.
.
.
.
.
So here is how bad the driver seat bolster was:
after my attempted mending
.
.
this is what lurks beneath... That metal support bar in the pan really will do some damage.
ghetto fix for now:
For anyone contemplating actually taking on a task like this, just make sure you allow yourself lots of time. People told me this would only take like 2-3 hours. HAH! yeah right...
But its worth it. The feel of sitting on nice warm leather after its been sitting in the sun is like no other. Im not being sarcastic either. I love hot seats.

putting in celica, mr2, or supra seats in a camry would be pretty sweet.

Well my metal bar did not break through the actual material, it just ripped the foam. So no reupholstery required. Just some bolster reinforcing.
Take apart your seat, and get to the point where you can peel back the skin to reveal the foam. Fix the foam accordingly. Above is the foam is used. Its actually water pipe insulation. Very thick and squishy foam, enough to be comfortable and supportive.
Make sure you put some very strong tape over the area that comes in contact with the metal bar so that it doesnt rub through again bringing you back to square one.
There are many other methods with better materials that you can use but i had to use only what i had. ymmv.

Sweet seats, and great job installing and everything. Should've tried out Rsx Type S seats maybe, they're a bit more bolstered or so it seems like.

Thanks! Rsx seats were an option, except they sit up about an inch or so higher than stock seats after install (at least the forums said so). And with me being 6'2'', thats a no go. I just like how deep you sit in the s2000 seats.
Hows the Type S treating you?

I could see height being an issue if you're that tall... And it's been great after a year and 5,000 miles later. Haven't done anything to it besides speakers really because I'm gonna hopefully trade it in for an evo x plus some graduation money... How's the Lude been?

Nice 5K and going strong, good to hear! I actually crossed the 10K miles mark under my ownership. Best 10K miles ive ever driven. And just recently i got my first check engine which is for the notorious dirty EGR ports and valve. So no big deal. I did end up hitting a massive pothole putting a bulge in one tire, and it actually stopped my odometer for 100miles. Other than that, i beat a gti in a 0-65 race and had a turbo srt caliber up to 2nd gear until he pulled away under boost. I can now say i have gotten the rpm needle up to 8,000rpms.... and i didnt even hit limiter which is scary.
And evo x! Please tell me you will get it in blue or white! Why not something rwd?
btw, dont you live in tennessee? I might be moving down there this summer.

Is EGR valve like an idle control valve or something? If so they seem complicated to do on your own. And I feel like with such a low car I'm always swerving to avoid potholes lol but you gotta hit the rev limiter eventually! It's great getting up to 8k but that fuel cut off is a whole different feeling. At first you might crap yourself, but then you realize it's a honda(; the weird thing is in neutral my cars limited to 5.5k rpm which is VTEC crossover. But if the car is in gear and you're on the clutch it'll rev out. And damn those turbo cars are too much for our VTEC sometimes. I regularly whoop 4th gen wannabe F&F eclipses along with many v6 mustangs although the newer ones can get me off the line. Only car I've lost to is a Raptor... Haha
Wicked white with some mud flaps and RPF1's is all I want lol but I really like being able to launch an AWD so easy. Also next car has to be turbo.
I live in Oklahoma, a bit far from Tennessee lol

EGR, exhaust gas release valve. and ports.
See those 6 little caps/cups in the center of the manifold? You have to drill into, and pull those caps out, clean the inside of all the carbon buildup, and also take off the ERG valve which is the black part on the left between those hoses, and clean all the carbon buildup out of there. No biggie, just gotta find a day to do it. and find a slide hammer.
Do the K series have these ports?
IACV idle air control valve is definitely a much more challenging project for sure.
And is that why all the new honda guys cant rev their engines so high when they try to show off. 5.5k rpm cutoff in neutral huh, did not know!
There was also a mk4 supra cruising with us that day, and we all lost to him. But hey, there are no losers when you lose to a supra. Because how else will you hear how awesome it is!
Yes, rallyarmour mudflaps! AWD launch is cheating tho! haha, jk, but launching is a skill we can all improve and learn about every day. Im finding new tricks to launching my lude every day! My next car should be turbo as well, without a doubt. I will also accept a supercharger.
Oklahoma is still closer than jersey currently is haha.

I don't think my engine has issue with that, or I've never heard of it.
Just being in first gear will trick the system so it's kinda pointless. A KPRO eliminates it all together.
I was trying to remember the name, Rallyarmours is it! They're so sick, I've seen metallic red ones on a white and I'm surprised it looked so cool. And I rarely actually find the need to launch my car if I want to do a little pull from a light. Superchargers are fine too but right off the top of my head I can't think of any car I like that has one...

Well, if you get too much carbon buildup it will throw a CEL, so if you dont have that youre golden! haha.
I want to get my sister the rally amour red flaps for her mazda 3 hatch. Heck, i would even put them on my prelude, ive never seen that done.
We dont need factory superchargers... Im sure youve heard of jackson racing and their superchargers for our H and K series.
btw, i am putting the drift missile search on hold for a crotch rocket. specifically this:
I have to seal the deal, but unless it turns out to be a total lemon, this will be joining the lude in high rpm singalongsongs.

I would get them for my car but mine comes with factory flaps that look really good IMO. Flaps should be mandatory in places with a lot of rain though. Gets so annoying being stuck behind a lifted wrangler that's showering your car. But you can never go wrong with red Rallyarmours!
And 4 banger superchargers seem pointless... I haven't driven one but it seems like it robs so much power. JRSC are nice and quality products but the belt is very high maintenance I heard. A small snail would be more efficient and maybe cost less (depending how much you spend on tune).
I personally don't condone bikes because 2 wheels baaaaaad. I'm just really biased against them because my dad has been in an accident on one and his right shoulder is limited in movement now. Although I do love older ones with sick liveries. That one looks quite nice. Good luck with it!
