Guys! I can totally stand up and walk around the house by myself now. :D

Also, I found someone to buy my motor and such from the wreckage. Which will give me a little scratch to live on for a bit.

Kinja'd!!!

Have a Forza picture. :)

I've been in the same place (albeit as a result of some GI nastiness), and I can tell you it totally gets better- and reasonably fast, too.

Speedy recovery, mate!

It is a great feeling being able to move. Once you can't use certain muscles you really notice how often you use them.

Thank you. :)

Thanks! I hope so. I'd like to get working as soon as possible. I need a new JunkStang. :)

The excellence that is walking! Although, I am a lazy bastard and I hate walking!

It'll come buddy, being patient when recovering is the hard part. I myself am recovering from a back injury and its so hard pacing myself to return. I really can't wait to get my normal life back!

Pretty soon everything will be back the way it was. I think sometimes we just have to suffer these things. As for why? That's the biggest mystery of them all.

What's your injury from? If you don't mind the question.

I'm lucky as far as my injury goes. I absorbed a VW and the back half of my Mustang into my spine. All I have is issues with movement due to muscles being all tight and such, and some bad bruises. A cut on the back of my head with some staples. That's it really.

It is hhonestly a pain having to pace myself. I've learned to try and be easy because it just makes it worse if you aren't.

I don't mind at all! The story of my injury is totally opposite to yours, at least in terms of coolness. Here it comes...

I tidied some DVDs. That's it!

I herniated a disk in my spine bending slightly, and to make things worse I have a genetic connective tissue disorder. Doctors have told me 6-12 months, but I'm aiming for the 6 obviously, and in the meantime just making do with the hand I've been dealt. I've been told work will be impossible for quite some time... so now I just write a lot, and try to get out as much as I can. I'm looking forwards the future and keeping my mind there. I'm also blessed with a tremendous family and girlfriend who keep me as happy as possible.

I imagine that accident was pretty nasty, the main thing is you got out of it in one piece. It's a story to tell at least, mine unfortunately is just related to my genetic condition and the randomness of a freak accident.

Wow. Sometimes it's those little things though. My neighbor is a physical therapist or something of the sort, and she tells me that things just like carrying your wallet in the same pocket everyday can have an impact on or back and muscles of that area.

As for your recovery, I wish you a quick and easy recovery, and good luck in reaching your goal of six months!

Thank you so much!

Yeah I hear similar, right now I'm learning to walk normally again. This is my current objective! I see other people walking normally and quickly and I wonder how I ever did it. But It's getting better! I have a great physio and doctor.

Best of luck to you too. I know one day soon we'll be back to normal and looking back on this as a part of a journey we had to take.

It'll come.
