Does anyone know what the function of some of the items in this picture are? It's a BMW E30 325i (Touring) with a slushbox. I particularly mean the button above the window switches and the item at the bottom (right), next to the hand brake. A wild guess about the latter one is that it might've been a car phone mount. Anyone know for sure?

I'm posting this from inside the Touring. Yolo, right? Nevermind the saggy headliner in the cargo area. I'll see if I can get the fixed.

The top one is a circuit breaker for the power windows. It should have another set of switches in the centre console though (for the rear windows), shouldn't it? Or does the touring not have power rear windows?

I'd second your guess of the second port being for a car phone.

Pretty sure that one of them is for the ejector seat.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's the function of this circuit breaker on the transmission tunnel? I get that it's like a resettable fuse, but I fail to see the function of its placement.

The rear windows are manual. It was a separate option at the time, the standard was 4 manual windows and powered front windows was the intermediate option.

Interesting. I'll have to work on good excuses to leave the sunroof fully open then.

Apparently the power windows have a habit of shorting out so the easily accessible breaker lets you reset them if/when that happens. I've never had to use it, which is probably uncommon.

I wouldn't be surprised if North America never got the separate option but it makes sense for the time.
