I adjusted the CMC on my Si today, I finally had enough of the 2nd gear lockouts when I needed second gear: Apparently someone tried it before and the pin popped out and it took 40 minutes to find and replace that, then finally get the spun and fixed.
But reading through some other peoples issues I found this appropriate image:

What, does it keep you out of the gate until the crack slows down to a 'safe' level?
Side note, try missing 2nd after a red light burnout through 1st, synchros grinding out in a loud proclamation that your trans sucks asshairs and you need a new one

It's one of the many reasons why I decided not to get an MGB. I found it far too easy to downshift straight past 2nd right into reverse.

The good news it was fixed easily. It was really about a 5 minute fix. It just moved the release point way up.
