..of the 93 fox body? I'm thinking of making my replacement here in three months or so a 1993 fox body. If I can find a clean one that is. Any other suggestions are welcome. Preferably 5 speed and rear wheel drive but I am open to all suggestions.

I personally am a huge fan of the Fox Body. Get it with a stick and a 5.0 and that's an awesome combination!

It depends. I'm a Mustang guy and I absolutely hate the fox body style. but there are some exceptions. I think my disgust is spawned from seeing so many trashy ones on the road (above). If you can find a clean one go for it! Plus, parts are relatively cheap so it's easy to turn one into a monster!

There's a really clean one in town, cosmetically, but every time I see the guy driving it he's really besting on it. It's fun to play, but not bouncing off of the redline play. Haha. I had a 2000 GT before the wreck a few days ago, but I kinda want a fox.

I have to agree with that statement, but I've seen a few clean ones. The one here in town is perfect cosmetically, but I see him beating on it extremely hard every time I see it.

If you can find one that's clean then go for it. The 5 speed is the first weak link IIRC.

That's hot. However it will take quite a lot of digging to find a clean one. There's nice one in town, but it's always getting beat on.

Ya it's probably going to be hard to find one that hasn't been thrashed too badly in its lifetime.

And I think you should definitely go Fox over 2000 GT.

Love the idea, I prefer the notchback ones personally but they are cool cars especially 5.0's. I'd be happy to help search for you in your area (CL is fun). They are for sale like crazy around here in the Metro Detroit area.

You can do so much with those engines! (And I have the original from 1968 - first year of the 5.0!)

I don't know a whole lot about what breaks first on that year, but I have plenty of time to dig around for a clean one.

It's like any other muscle car, I know it will be thrashed, but I don't want a destroyed one.

I loved my 2000 GT. I'm going to look at the aftermath today, but there's just something about a fox.

I'd be willing to road trip up to Detroit for a car, I love in southern Ohio. So anything that isn't a truck is hard to find. It will be a little while before I can get another car, but I will definitely take you up on that offer.

I love my 2000 GT, but she's in a better place now. There's just something about the Fox that does it for me.

to get a clean one Is probably involving a rough one you clean up. Theres many solid ones to be found so perhaps plan some buffing and touchup monies.

That's more or less what I meant. I don't mind fixing it up, I just don't want one that's been absolutely destroyed.

Looks like comments are finally back!

What's our budget/year range. I assume manual and 5.0 are requirements. do you want stock unmodified?

Well, it'll be 3-5 months before I can shop, I was just wanting an opinion

But really 5-6k range. And as long as it's not like.. Super modified it'll be fine.
