Love this color and the wheels. It has a real retro feel to it.

I read about this build not long ago; the steelies are actually temp and I believe the finished car had Fuchs.

Yeah, I didn't know Fuchs was such a big family. I'm not incredibly well learned in Porsche lore

I dig it. There's a lot of Elan in that profile, especially with the steelies.

Meh... I'm of the "If it ain't deep, it ain't shit" group. That, and I think everything should have either: BBS-style web-spoked rims, preferrably black with deep-dish machined lips, or white 6-spoke rims, also deep dished.
If this set here had a deep dish... hot damn:
Or maybe these... Yes, this was me, and my second car. You can't see it, but about 500 feet away was Nelson Ledges Road Course:

I think you might like mesh wheels as much as me. But there is something good about a retro type car like the miata or mini wearing retro type wheels. What is the story with the tuxedo and the road course? Are you just some kind of classy hitman?

I think its the paint. The old school paint job really makes a big difference.

I built my Seven two houses down from Nelson Ledges, and I ran the Mini on it a few times. Back before I was married, I used to wear things like that all the time. Now, not so much. Long story.

Heh. I dunno. I used to have to wear dress clothes to school (private school), at which point I couldn't wait to get into jeans or something... once I graduated I started working in factories, which required wearing grungy clothes. I didn't like looking like a slob, so I started gravitating toward suits and tuxes and whatnot... I guess they neutralized the mohawk, and I definately got a few looks. It was fun. I'd do it again if I knew I wouldn't trash the clothes right away.
Now I'm machining, and I wear BDUs most of the time. I don't really go anywhere, so when I do, I'm usually wearing the racing suit with the Seven.
I'll have to see if I can find a photo of me with the mohawk, shooting the M16, in a suit. I have someone somewhere, I think. Those were the days. 2-3000 rounds at a sitting, 80-90 bucks a thou.

Meh, couldn't find any good photos, but I did find this one... Used to hang out with this girl, and we had gone to some antique/thrift store, and she bought a parasol... and asked me to hold it for some reason or another.
