"How to Power Tune Rover V8 Engines for Road and Track" is looking mighty useful from its Google Books excerpt. Also, out of print and British and stupidly expensive. The Indianapolis Public Library has a copy, the bastards.

do a library loan bro! it should be free if your library is anything like mine. you go online and submit a request and they tell you when its in and you pick it up at your library for free!
I did this for a rare porsche autbiography that a library had like two states over. The book would cost like $200 to buy so I just library loaned that fish and read it.

I live in Indianapolis, and I have a plan: I risk life and limb to steal such a treasured and priceless book, and all you have to do is rob a bank in your area. We then both drive to Arizona and exchange our respective spoils in a No Country For Old Men-style swap at sunset (without the gratuitous death and all that), and then go our separate ways. Deal?

Sounds like a plan. Odd that you like pens that much, though.

I might have to steal that just so I can anger people like you... or have the best damn secret senna gift ever. The community college branch of my public library has a book from the mid '50s on repairing GM carburetors. I would love to know how many people have checked that book out in the last couple decades.

Be sure to go for the manager's office and get his Pilot G2's, forget the crappy Bic's at the teller counter. I'm going to have to break into a government-run institution I better get some high-quality writing utensils out of it.

It's a fairly recent book, covers up through the 4.6. I've already collected some useful cam and head information from it - I know now that I have the right block to cross drill, that I have reduced combustion chamber (late) heads, and that I'm mostly set up for a cam thrust plate, what the piston clearances need to be, etc. etc.. Beyond useful.
I told my younger brother that wants a transmaro he should go into debt for your earlier post so I'd have an excuse to head your way for the book. Obviously.
