Spotted at school. People are funny (and ignorant)!

idk man, he's got pride in his car even if its not the top of the line. That's pretty jalop.

I saw a Mustang with a similar emblem on it a couple of weeks ago. I was hoping that it was an isolated case. Apparently not.

It is weird since it looks so much like the 4.0 badge from Jeeps
![]() 04/10/2014 at 12:21 |

it very well could be

At Cici's (don't judge me) this weekend my wife and I saw a red mustang with this badge, a 5.0 badge, a cobra badge, and a pony all stacked vertically on the fender. I assumed he was trolling.

Do badges add horsepower like stickers do?
![]() 04/10/2014 at 12:28 |

They should, I can't see why not...
![]() 04/10/2014 at 12:30 |

More than stickers; they are heavier

For some reason I never actually thought about that v6 being a 4.0...that's pretty huge for a 6 pot.
I'm not the most well-versed with American cars - hell, BMW even had a 3.0L v8 , so a 6 pot with that much displacement sounds crazy to me. Any other common high displacement v6s out there?
![]() 04/10/2014 at 12:41 |

I mean it is a 4.0 (ask me how I know) so that's not really a problem. Although I guess it's weird since its obviously all stock.

GM 4.3 LV3

Chevy has the 4.3L Vortec V6. There's also a 4.5L diesel V6 from Ford/Navistar. In both cases, the design is based on an existing V8 block with two cylinders removed.
Also worth mentioning that the Porsche 944 had a 3.0L inline four in it at one point. That's massive.

"200 hoerspowurs!!!!!"

Damn, that's crazy. I think the biggest 6 pot I've experienced is the 3.7l I-6 in my girlfriend's Jeep Liberty....I love the sound of it and has a nice amount of grunt, but horrible gas mileage.

good for that dude :) He likes it, a jalop quality if I ever saw it

On the other end there's the Mazda K8. a 1.8l V6. Looks big, but that's a tiny engine bay of an MX-3.
![]() 04/10/2014 at 13:00 |
|
Man I would love to have 4.0, financially speaking I'm capped at 1.4.
![]() 04/10/2014 at 13:02 |

That's so crazy. Not a huge fan of V6s, but quirky random engines are pretty cool. Did not know that about the MX-3!
![]() 04/10/2014 at 13:11 |

Ha, I used to have one of those so I know exactly what you mean.
![]() 04/10/2014 at 13:11 |

down side is, it only had about as much power as a 1.6l Honda of the same year. and got poor mileage.
![]() 04/10/2014 at 13:22 |

Bitch please. New ram has a 6.7 liter I6
![]() 04/10/2014 at 13:41 |

haha, holy shit!

I smell Jealous people. Now why is that ignorant? He's got a good looking car and he doesnt have ugly aftermarket body parts or wheels.
I think that adding that badge for his engine seems pretty Jalop.
![]() 04/10/2014 at 14:33 |
|
What about it? Why cant he put this badge on his car if even a chrysler town and country have a badge of 4.0?
He doesn't have a fake hood scoop. He just added a badge of the displacement of his engine where its supposed to be.
![]() 04/10/2014 at 14:52 |

Kudos for your comment pal
![]() 04/10/2014 at 14:55 |

I dont see whats the deal,if it was a Fake hood scoop id probably say something, but he just added a badge to his car engine, even chrysler minivan has one
![]() 04/10/2014 at 15:04 |

All I was saying is that it looked like the badge was from Mopar group. And usually when you have a base model like that, you don't display stuff like that; similar to an Accord only wearing a V6 badge (they don't say its a 4 cylinder anywhere on it.
I don't think he knew any better. Its an automatic stang driven by a young kid who doesn't seem too into cars.
![]() 04/10/2014 at 15:32 |

oh Automatic :/
But his mods could be worse.... this is something i do hate watching
![]() 04/10/2014 at 15:42 |

You think that is bad? Here's another kid's Mustang! Also at my school!
And no... its not a work in progress. I asked.
![]() 04/10/2014 at 16:40 |

Uugghhh, Damn id be embarrased to be seen driving that. Looks Terrible
![]() 04/11/2014 at 04:07 |

That's a 3.7L V6 , just FYI.
![]() 04/11/2014 at 04:09 |

Y'all think that's big? Look into the OTR trucks (semis), and see how big their engines are. Then look into offroad (think dump truck) and look at their engine specs.

Wheel flares are usually for... bigger wheels and tires. Especially tires. And... uh... this guy... He didn't get the memo. I'll bet he's also got a problem with his TPS reports.
