I saw a Mustang with a similar emblem on it a couple of weeks ago. I was hoping that it was an isolated case. Apparently not.

It is weird since it looks so much like the 4.0 badge from Jeeps

At Cici's (don't judge me) this weekend my wife and I saw a red mustang with this badge, a 5.0 badge, a cobra badge, and a pony all stacked vertically on the fender. I assumed he was trolling.

Do badges add horsepower like stickers do?

For some reason I never actually thought about that v6 being a 4.0...that's pretty huge for a 6 pot.
I'm not the most well-versed with American cars - hell, BMW even had a 3.0L v8 , so a 6 pot with that much displacement sounds crazy to me. Any other common high displacement v6s out there?

I mean it is a 4.0 (ask me how I know) so that's not really a problem. Although I guess it's weird since its obviously all stock.

Chevy has the 4.3L Vortec V6. There's also a 4.5L diesel V6 from Ford/Navistar. In both cases, the design is based on an existing V8 block with two cylinders removed.
Also worth mentioning that the Porsche 944 had a 3.0L inline four in it at one point. That's massive.

Damn, that's crazy. I think the biggest 6 pot I've experienced is the 3.7l I-6 in my girlfriend's Jeep Liberty....I love the sound of it and has a nice amount of grunt, but horrible gas mileage.

On the other end there's the Mazda K8. a 1.8l V6. Looks big, but that's a tiny engine bay of an MX-3.

Man I would love to have 4.0, financially speaking I'm capped at 1.4.

That's so crazy. Not a huge fan of V6s, but quirky random engines are pretty cool. Did not know that about the MX-3!

down side is, it only had about as much power as a 1.6l Honda of the same year. and got poor mileage.

I smell Jealous people. Now why is that ignorant? He's got a good looking car and he doesnt have ugly aftermarket body parts or wheels.
I think that adding that badge for his engine seems pretty Jalop.

What about it? Why cant he put this badge on his car if even a chrysler town and country have a badge of 4.0?
He doesn't have a fake hood scoop. He just added a badge of the displacement of his engine where its supposed to be.

All I was saying is that it looked like the badge was from Mopar group. And usually when you have a base model like that, you don't display stuff like that; similar to an Accord only wearing a V6 badge (they don't say its a 4 cylinder anywhere on it.
I don't think he knew any better. Its an automatic stang driven by a young kid who doesn't seem too into cars.

Y'all think that's big? Look into the OTR trucks (semis), and see how big their engines are. Then look into offroad (think dump truck) and look at their engine specs.

Wheel flares are usually for... bigger wheels and tires. Especially tires. And... uh... this guy... He didn't get the memo. I'll bet he's also got a problem with his TPS reports.
