So, I found, thanks to a CL link that Velocity-Silky Smooth Six sent me, an Alfa 164 in Knoxville... The question is, do I buy it, knowing that it's going to put my other projects on hold, or do I not, and focus on the Fiat...

I wasn't aware there was a 'not to Alfa' option :)

That aside, it's about how many projecty cars you think you can make progress on at any one time. Having lost my Jag and Fiat to a tree I've found out how liberating it is to work solidly on one car (the Spitfire). However, I've found that I can make decent progress on 3 or 4 cars at any one time.

I suppose that doesn't really answer the question, but I'm not really a good one to be giving out advice. If I wasn't stony-broke I'd probably have 8 or 9 cars by now :)

You've answered your own question there, then. Get it bought.

Also, if you do buy it and plan to respray it, may I suggest Atollo Blue?
