Found a pretty great looking Porsche 914 on my way to class. Didn't expect that today. Saw a Hurst Oldsmobile yesterday. Had to Google it since all I remember on the car was H/O 450. Apparently its pretty rare. Which pisses me off since I didn't get a picture of it. I told my friend to get a little closer so I could take a picture of it really quickly and he almost hit it.

My aunt used to own one of those. I think it was orangish. She used to drive her Great Dane around in it. It was hilarious looking.

It looks completely restored.
Nice color, top, wheels, decals, it's perfect.

I should've just sat there and waited for the person that owned it to ask them about it. It was amazing.

Nice.
Have you made it out to a Tulsa C&G event yet? I can't go on the drive, but I'm planning to go check out the cars before they take off this Saturday morning.
From Curt:
Just a few days away, is everyone ready to hit the road?
I will have a few map packets to spread around and have the GPS map file if anyone is interested and knows how to use it.
To give you a little more idea of how the day's events will transpire, I've made up a short schedule that we will roughly follow.
8 am - Show up at Hard Rock Casino, north east parking lot behind the big guitar sign.
9 am - Start organizing to get in line to head out on the drive. Line up single file around the circle drive by the parking lot, this should help from getting bunched up while leaving.
9:30 am - Hit the road! Slowly. Catoosa Police may be helping us exit so let's give them a group they can appreciate helping out and not regretting.
11 am - First pitstop in Jay OK, at Speedys. If you do not need gas or a bathroom break please park in the church parking lot on the east side of the hwy, you will still be able to see us when we start to leave. I have checked the entrances of both lots and they are low car approved.
NOON - Arrive at 28 Springs for lunch. Park on the streets, or in nearby lots. We will be leaving on Broadway south so position yourself for an easy exit.
1:30 pm - Ready to leave SS and return home.
2:15 pm - First pitstop in Stilwell, turn north (right) on HWY 59 to get to the stations and bathroom, we will head back south on 59 to meet up with HWY100 West.
3:00 pm - Second stop at roadside Tenkiller Lake Park across the dam, two bathrooms available.
4:00 pm - Home via turnpike, toll = $1.50, bring change or a pass…
GoPro's are encouraged, photos are commanded, two way radios if you have them to keep in touch from the front to the rear of the pack, and any other detector type device that you deem necessary.
If you have any questions feel free to email me. Coffee and snacks are not available this time so get your breakfast and Caffeine on the way to the Hard Rock or before.

I don't have a car while I'm in college since I'm out of state. But a couple of my friends and I are actually going to the Tulsa International Car Show this weekend.

Similarly, I've seen a (yellow) Fiat X1/9 on my campus once or twice before. I don't think it was a student's though.
As far as notable student cars - somebody very recently brought an S2000 on campus and I'm kinda jelly. I noticed an Evo X once last week too which was impressive. And last year I saw a red Mk4 Supra several times which was awesome.

I've been truly jealous of the MGB GT and the mint 944 that I think are owned by professors but the Cayenne, Panamera and brand new Range Rovers owned by International Students just annoy me.

How does that even happen?! As if living at university in a different country wasn't a big enough expense o_O
Now that you say it, I can totally image both the MGB and 944 being professors' cars lol. One of my professors somehow manages to always bring up the fact that he drives a Prius (another generic professor car) XD
