Looks like he went to deep, missed the braking while probably making another mistake. He may have learned open wheel cars don't do well running up on another tyre.

Watch the bottom right to see it happen in the rearview mirror. Two cars back hit the car in front of it, and my guess is it was a wheel to wheel launch (front car's sticky rear slicks rolling forward, rear cars front tires also rolling forward and just catapulted over).
